Amid the increasing transmission of Corona virus, the report of Congress MLA Imran Khedwala has come positive from Ahmedabad’s Jamalpur-Khadi meeting. The day after the report came, he attended a meeting with Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, Nitin Patel, Home Minister Pradeep Singh Jadeja and high officials at a meeting of the Chief Minister. Imran Khedwala is a Congress leader who has made a lengthy political trip from a councilor to a councilor. Imran Khedwala’s full name is Imran Yusufbhai Khedwala. This was the traditional meeting of BJP veteran Ashok Bhatt. Until 2011, it was considered a Khadi seat only but since 2012 it has been considered a Jamalpur-Khadi seat. Imran is the first Muslim leader to win this seat, which has a number of Hindu and Muslim beau.
Congress party never won this seat till 2017 after Ajit Patel won the seat in 1972.
From 1975 to 2007, the seat was ruled by the late BJP leader Ashok Bhatt. Ashok Bhatt won this assembly seat eight times. Ashok Bhatt has been active in the Jana Sangh since the 1960s and has also been a minister in the Health and Law and Justice Department in the Government of Gujarat and also became a Speaker. He died in 2010 and then won in the 2011 by-elections and in the 2012 election, Ashok Bhatt’s son, Bhushan Bhatt.
In 2017, Imran Khedwala defeated Bhushan Bhatt and took the seat from the BJP. According to a report in the Indian Express, Imran Khedwala is close to the Congress leaders Gyasuddin Sheikh and Himmant Singh Patel Beau. In a conversation with BBC Gujarati associate Bhargava Parikh, Ahmedabad Municipal Commissioner Vijay Nehra confirmed that Imran Khedwala’s report was positive. In a conversation with Bhargava Parikh, Congress MLA Gyasuddin Sheikh said that Imran Khedwala had a fever for two days, so he had done the test two days ago.

He said that two days ago, a farmer’s sample containing the symptoms of common fever and cold was taken on Monday and his report was yet to come. He wanted to avoid meeting other people until the report came, which he made a mistake. He also said that Chief Minister Vijay Rupani sat about 15 to 20 feet away from the meeting and was not in close contact. However, further action will be taken in consultation with medical experts.
